AN EVENING WITH JOSH GROBAN” TO BE HELD AT THE WALT DISNEY CONCERT HALL ON JUNE 28th

In keeping with his long-standing commitment to helping young people through arts education, multi-platinum singer, songwriter, and actor Josh Groban will perform a benefit concert to raise support for the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA), and his own Find Your Light Foundation. The special performance, entitled “An Evening with Josh Groban,” will be held at The Music Center’s Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday, June 28th at 8:00pm.

“I am thrilled to be able to host this special performance at Disney Hall to benefit LACHSA and my own Find Your Light Foundation. LACHSA holds a very special place in my heart as it gave me a starting ground to nurture my craft and feel at home while in school. It was partly through this experience at LACHSA that I started The Find Your Light Foundation. It is my continuing belief that arts education and exposure in children’s and young adult’s lives help to shape them for the better. “

LACHSA, which is operated by the Los Angeles County Office of Education,was established on the campus of California State University Los Angeles in 1985 through the leadership of the Arts High Foundation. Recognized as one of the premier public arts high school in the U.S., LACHSA is Los Angeles County’s only public, conservatory-style arts program for talented youth in dance, music, theatre, visual arts, musical theatre and film. The school serves 600 culturally and socioeconomically diverse young artists from 80 school districts throughout the County. Fund-raising events such as this benefit concert put on by the Arts High Foundation help it to sustain LACHSA’s award-winning and comprehensive arts training offered to students free of charge.

An Evening with Josh Groban will also support Groban’s Find Your Light Foundation, which he established in 2011 to enrich the lives of young people through arts, education, and cultural awareness. Groban believes that early exposure in the arts helps shape young people’s lives, combined with the sobering reality that public school arts programs are being dismantled in many communities has made Josh more attuned than ever to helping young people find their light. During his 2011 “Straight To You” World Tour, Groban partnered with Americans for the Arts to launch a joint text-to-give campaign where local nonprofit arts education organizations received funds. In addition, Groban invited nonprofit leaders, artists, students and teachers to his concerts to be recognized from the stage.

Premium tickets at $1,000 are available through the Arts High Foundation at (213) 225-7586. Premium ticket holders will attend a private pre-performance reception with Josh and get the best seats in the house (Front Orchestra section).

General tickets will go on sale to the public starting May 10 at noon and will be available through Ticketmaster. General ticket prices are: $350, $250, $150, $100, $75 and $50.
