46664.com has announced that on November 10, the United Nations adopted a resolution declaring July 18th, Nelson Mandela's birthday, as "Nelson Mandela International Day". This is a historical event as it is the first time that the United Nations has designated an international day in the name of an individual.

The celebration of Mandela Day started this year in New York, and an agreement has now been reached with the City of Madrid for next year's Mandela Day to take place in Spain on 17 July 2010.

The new Mandela Day website, along with a new website, 46664volunteers.com, will be launched early next year in English and Spanish.
